Oceans
We were requested by a private company to produce a website that looked at ‘selling’ the worlds oceans as a means to raising funds for ocean related projects and assisting with offsetting income from fishing license fees. We developed a novel portal that was designed with the Government of Palau in mind as an end customer. The site is yet to launch but you can see it in development here.
Labels 1.2.3
Labels 1.2.3 wanted a simple front end website and an easy to use Customer Relational Management (CRM) and ordering solution that anybody could use. We built a simple front end website according to the Labels 1.2.3. teams design and a data portal that is capable of managing the sales teams current state of affairs with each customer. Having a complex ordering, payment and shipping process, the Labels 1.2.3. team were able to streamline their processes through the CRM and ordering portal we built them. The cost savings to the organisation in terms of labour hours have been estimated to be 15 hours a week leaving sales staff with more time to get on with selling!
Ansett Aviation
We built the Ansett Aviation and the Ansett Aviation Group websites to give the business a new look. The custom coded sites are both beautiful and highly functional.
Ansettaviationgroup.com values the safety of their passengers. We created them a data portal designed to manage pilot credentials, aircraft maintenance and flight tracking. The system employs the latest in CASA requirements ensuring that the business is always on top of the maintenance schedules and what flights have been conducted everyday.
At the push of a button, managers can see all flights, pilots and the status of any aircraft in their fleet.
St Christopher
The folks at St Christopher wanted a highly scalable application that could scrape upwards of 5000 PDF documents a minute using complex scrapers and task queues. We built them just that and more.
The application essentially subscribes users to the Australian Government Smartraveller system at the flick of an email. All the user does is send the flight booking email to the St Christopher servers and voilla, they are subscribed for their upcoming trip.
Birdlife Australia
The Citizen Science data portal we developed for Birdlife Australia is the worlds premier data portal for beach-nesting birds. Prior to the development of the portal, volunteers around Australia were making observations and recording on paper. The data would then be sent into the Birdlife office and manually entered ad checked. Finally when it got to analysing and reporting the data was already 6 months old.
We built a system that allowed for the realtime data entry and management of the species. The portal now encompasses 6 species and has an army of of thousands around australia submitting observations on beach nesting birds.
The portal has assisted to increase the population numbers of an endangered species, the hooded plover from 300 odd individuals in 2008 to around 1000 individuals today.
